talking of human rights violations and political crime. the pinochet case is still on the agenda in chile. whether it is of the leader of the so called colonia dignidad or pinochet itself. times have changed in big parts of latin america and left wing goverments seem to link up with each other. if we hadn´t bbc news, we wouldn´t even get aware in this part of europe that political life in south america exists.

immer wieder steht die einfahrt im mittelpunkt von sauseschritts samstageinträgen: [1 ....] und [2 ....]. diesmal feiern wir aber den einjährigen geburtstag des etablissements. wir gartulieren august, seinem team und letztendlich uns, seinen gästen. mögen noch viele geburtstage folgen!

der kollege aus hamburg hatte es sauseschritt in einem email an mich so beschrieben: MUSS: fischmarkt, ca. ab 5.30 morgens am wochenende (früh kommen!°!) hinter den landungsbrücken, ein eindrucksvolles, immer auch etwas anarchisches spektakel. der rat, früh aufzustehen, wird meist von naturliebhaber/innen, gesünder-leben-freaks oder personen im stadium seniler bettflucht gegeben; kaum von eingefleischten rock-fans oder nachtschwärmer/innen. diesmal aber war dem rat zu trauen, denn ein besuch auf der altonaer fisch auktionshalle sei dem vergnügungsbereiten angeraten. bier und fischsemmel um 6 uhr früh, das ist brutalität! zur weiteren einstimmung noch zwei verweise zu historischem und zu bildträchtigem.

den leipziger buchpreis für europäische verständigung erhält slavenka drakulic für ihr buch keiner war dabei heute abend im rahmen der eröffnung der leipziger buchmesse. dies berichten der standard und andere medien. sauseschritt gratuliert der autorin, ganz im sinne der beiden [1 ....] [2 ....] früheren einträge. wer noch nicht hat, sollte unbedingt lesen: über die banalität der destruktivität als unsere ständige begleiterin.

mit eifer hat die freie hansestadt hamburg in der lange zeit dahinträumenden speicherstadt nicht nur jede menge betriebe der new economy angesiedelt, sondern sich darüber hinaus in unmittelbarer nähe zum bau der hafen-city entschlossen. mit konzentration folgt sauseschritt den musealen versatzstücken und muß zugeben, dass nach den sgn. alten zeiten wirklich kein hahn mehr kräht. oder vielleicht doch? eine stadtführerin kommentiert mit trockenem humor und leisem sentiment die baulichen veränderungen. früher, ja, da hätten die touristenbusse an der zollgrenze noch anhalten müssen. was die heutige politik jedoch ..................
